The design concept and inspiration of KUPILKA comes from "HARAKKA KUPPI" (aka "The Magpie Cup" ). The earliest record of this cup began in 1775 AD, when residents of North Karelia (North Karelia) in eastern Finland used these small wooden cups to taste their own brewed wine. After nightfall, everyone sat around the campfire with their own small cups and enjoyed hot drinks, while listening to the waves of the lake and looking up at the starry sky in the forest, it was the daily scenery of people at that time.
For hundreds of years, KUPPI small cups have become an indispensable living utensil on the Finn's table and even in life! In modern times, jointly developed by two Finnish designers, Kari Kuisma and Heikki Koivurova, KUPILKA's first classic cup "KUPILKA 21" was born in 2003!
